Copywriting

Website Copywriting A good copywriter knows which words trigger the feelings that compel people to make decisions. They write with flair, making it easy for people to be drawn into what they are saying about your business, services or products. Read an an example of good copywriting for a fictitious Sydney Mercedes Dealer, or just "ok" website copy for a Used Mercedes dealer.

I couldn't resist it when the gorgeous Channel Ten reporter, Jacqueline Maddock (Jacqui) got up close and personal with a T-Rex dinosaur - I just had to capture the moment.

When the powers that be decide on who will direct Jurassic Park 5, I think we know who will be receiving a knock on the door for a starring, if not screaming, role!!

"Jurassic Jacqui" ROCKS! ;-)

Jacqui Maddock Bio

Jacqueline Maddock grew up in Melbourne and country Victoria (Wangaratta), before moving to Sydney to complete high school at Wenona School in North Sydney. She revelled in debating and public speaking, which lead to her completing a Bachelor of Communication majoring in Broadcast Journalism from Charles Sturt University.

She landed her first job as assistant editor of the student newspaper, and it was during this time that she also found an interest in finance.

After graduating from Uni, Jacqui commenced work at the Finance News Network, where she was the network's chief finance presenter. She was responsible for writing and presenting five daily Australian, US and Asian market updates for members, as well as currency, commodities and future market updates.

While at the Finance News Network, Jacqui received a diploma from the Max Rowley Media Academy.

In 2005, Jacqui joined Commsec as one of their finance reporters covering all the latest in the international share market, business and economic news for TEN News, Sky News, 2UE radio and ABC radio.

It was during this time that Jacqueline gained her PS146 licence with the Australian Securities and Derivatives Institute which enabled her to advise on the market.

In 2006, Network Ten asked Jacqui to join their news team in Canberra. She spent two years in the Press Gallery and during this time covered two Federal Budgets, the 2007 Federal election campaign and National Sorry Day. She also produced on TEN's national political program Meet The Press.

In 2008, TEN News asked Jacqueline to join them in Sydney as their finance reporter. In her role Jacqui has covered a variety of economic and business stories surrounding the global financial crisis. She also provided daily share market news in her finance segment on Ten's 5pm news.

Early in 2011, Jacqui branched out into more mainstream on-air reporting for the TEN Network, leaving Tom Petrovski with very big shoes to fill indeed (not literally of course). Jacqui tells me she is really enjoying the variety afforded to her by the new role, so we can look forward to seeing much more of this vivacious reporter in the months (and years) to come.
