Business Directory - Promote your website

SEO

Search Engine Optimisation (Search Engine Optimisation)
Statistics show us that more than 80% of traffic from search engines comes from organic results. Basically, unless you are on the first page of Google™, regardless if you have a PPC strategy, your website may not be performing to it's full potential. Talk to us today about web site optimisation, SEO, and how we can improve your organic search engine optimisation with proven website seo.

Directories

Directory Listings You should add your website to as many directories as you can. Check out our free Australian Business Directory page for addresses and information about business directories.

Copywriting

Website Copywriting A good copywriter knows which words trigger the feelings that compel people to make decisions. They write with flair, making it easy for people to be drawn into what they are saying about your business, services or products - see professional copywriting, and an example of good copywriting for a Mercedes Dealer.

News and Article index page People often ask me the best way to promote their website.

First, you have to have the basics in place - your website has to be "attractive" to Google. I talk about Google because Google searches account for almost 90% of the overall searches performed in Australia (Nielson/NetRatings, July 2007). By attractive, I don't mean looks, although your website of course has to look good to a visitor and be easy to navigate. Your website has to do its utmost to attract great search engine results by the way it is constructed, the link text (both internal and inbound), page titles, file names, and, of course, the content (copy).

Business Directory So, if you have all that in place, we can now answer the question "how do I promote my website".

The first in this series of help guides will be dealing with Business Directories.

One of the best and most inexpensive ways is by adding your website to as many business directories you are able. Lots of directories offer free listings, but then many charge as well. Usually the "freebies" are very basic listings, but you get what you pay for. You can see a list of directories on our Australian Business Directory page.

I'll be reviewing several directories for you, starting with two relatively new, but somewhat different business directories called "clickfind™" and "i need to". Check out both these reviews and please take advantage of the discounts on offer.
